The Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) is a tool used to screen children between 16 and 30 months of age to assess their risk for autism. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends early screening for all children. You will be asked to complete a screening form at your child’s appointment, and the results will be reviewed by your child’s provider. The screening form is available below. Please do not use this screening tool unless instructed to do so by your child’s provider; they will be able to determine if this screening tool is appropriate for your child.
